From
Trauma to Triumph!
Are You Experiencing any of the Following?
-
Trouble trusting others or feeling safe
- Stressful
experiences that have changed your outlook on life
- Feeling
ashamed or isolated
- Muscle
tension, stomach pain or breathing and heart irregularities
-
Feeling overwhelmed by unwanted thoughts, memories or emotions
-
Difficulty sleeping or fully relaxing
- Feeling
angry, depressed or numb to almost everything
If you answered “yes” to any of these questions,
you may be experiencing a traumatic stress response.
Sometimes,
people assume their stressful experiences are not a big deal,
but trauma is a relative thing. If a past experience is impacting
the quality of your life presently, then it was a traumatic
experience for you. Even though you may feel changed because
of what happened, you can recover. You can resume a life with
safety and your sense of self restored
