Santa
Barbara Chinese Abdominal Massage | Chi Nei Tsang
Hello
and Welcome! Thank you for visiting my page. My name is Jada and
I’m passionate about helping people to experience more energy,
improved physical health and greater joy in their lives. The primary
way I do that is through my Chi Nei Tsang massage therapy practice.
Most
people have never heard of Chi Nei Tsang. I feel honored to be
one of the few people who are introducing this ancient Chinese
healing massage technique to the West.
I
am excited for you to discover the incredible healing benefits
of this technique.
Please
take a moment to check out the Chi
Nei Tsang page.
Chi Nei Tsang
Chi
Nei Tsang (also called Chinese Abdominal Massage) restores the
movement of chi (or energy) in the abdomen, which encourages the
internal organs to work more efficiently and reminds the body
of its optimal state. It is an applied form of Qigong, an ancient
Taoist practice that moves chi through the body. Chi Nei Tsang
practitioners work mainly in the abdominal area with deep, yet
soft and gentle manual techniques.
Chi
Nei Tsang purges the system of unprocessed emotional charges and
unwanted pollutants while harmonizing the flow of energy to all
the major systems of the body (nervous, digestive, muscular, skeletal,
reproductive, lymphatic, urinary, cardiovascular, and endocrine).
It can:
-
Support emotional balance
-
Improve digestion
-
Promote better waste elimination
-
Enhance the immune system
-
Improve gynecological problems
-
Revive connection to self
Chi
Nei Tsang can be beneficial on its own or in combination with
other medical care.
Your Experience
Individual
sessions are offered at 30/50 minutes. You will remain fully clothed,
but loose comfortable clothing is recommended so that I can have
easy access to the skin on your back and your abdomen. Typically,
no oil or lotion is used.
Chi
Nei Tsang is gentle abdominal massage, but you might feel some
pressure. During your session, you lie in a comfortable position
on your back with your knees slightly elevated so that the abdominal
organs are most accessible. Many people wonder whether the massage
will hurt: It does not hurt.
I
suggest that you eat a light meal before coming in.
After
the session, take some time for yourself to let the benefits sink
in. You will probably want to avoid returning immediately to work
or stressful environments. Sitting in a park, taking a short nap,
eating a healthy meal are all nice ways to transition from the
session back to daily life.
You
may notice some new effects on your body, including increased
or changed bowel movements for a week. Don’t be alarmed.
This is a normal part of your body adapting to a new way of processing
internal waste.
Sessions
Frequency
of Sessions
Like
most forms of healing, Chi Nei Tsang works best as a series of
sessions. Initially, anywhere from 3 to 10 sessions on a weekly
or biweekly basis may be needed, particularly if you have a specific
emotional or physical issue you are addressing. After that, once
a month as maintenance works well for many clients. You’ll
know what’s right for you.
Testimonials
Some
years ago I was operated on for colon cancer. While the operation
was successful and the cancer not returned, I was left with severe
and debilitating side effects. Nothing seemed to help. Nothing
that is, until Jada Delaney began to do deep abdominal and other
bodywork. Immediately the stress was relieved. Within the first
few months my symptoms receded. After a year of monthly work with
Jada, the symptoms all but disappeared. They have not returned.
Without any hesitation I recommend Jada. I highly respect her
intuition and her methods. I believe that anyone open enough to
experience Jada’s work will benefit on many levels. As I
continue to be Jada’s client. Not only have the benefits
held, but a greater, deeper and more robust health are my constant
rewards.

One
session with Ms. Jada Delaney was able to do what 2 years of trying
everything from Chiropractic to acupuncture to massage to an Orthopedic
Surgeon was unable to do. I had been debilitated by a severe hip
pain over the course of 2 years when I first met Jada. Not thinking
of her as someone who might help me with that pain, I saw her
thinking she could help me with my digestive challenges at the
time. She proceeded to work on me and at the very end (I never
mentioned I had pain in my hips) she laid her hand on my hips.
I did not feel any better or worse after the session. Upon awaking
in the morning I got out of bed realizing that my hips no longer
hurt-at all! Gone, completely, 2 years of pain and suffering,
searching and treating. Having my mobility back has changed my
life for the better and I owe a great deal of the credit to Jada
and her gift!

From
the beginning of our first session, Jada seemed to know exactly
what my body needed. Her touch is profoundly healing and it is
clear that she has a deep understanding of the body. The compassionate
attention, skill and intuition that she brings to her work made
me feel completely at ease. Just being in her presence is healing!

About
Jada
My
introduction to the healing arts started with my own healing process.
With moving to San Francisco from Columbus, Ohio, in the early
90’s I was able to explore forms of healing that were unfamiliar
to me. With much enthusiasm I encountered the amazing benefits
of acupuncture, herbal medicine, hypnotherapy, counseling and
some esoteric practices. Quickly, many of my long-standing physical
issues dissipated.
In
1998, I met two people with whom I shook hands with and both persons
had pinned me as a massage therapist, even though I was not at
the time. Taking this experience as a revelation of sorts, I registered
within one week to start a program in massage therapy at Trinity
College. During my studies at Trinity College and the many classes
in different forms of Eastern bodywork, I knew upon my completion
of this program that I would want to learn more about Eastern
practices.
In
1999 I read about Chi Nei Tsang in a local magazine. I jumped
quickly at an opportunity to learn this work with Gilles Marin,
a brilliant instructor. I became a Level 1 practitioner and, more
importantly, took away an important message, “to take the
work that I have shown you and to make it your own” …and
so I did! From that point forward I began to work on every massage
client’s abdomen and what evolved from that process has
been an enlightening and an integral component to more self-healing,
the nexus for the work that I now provide to others.
My
passion is to help others achieve balance, create a fulfilling
life and clear whatever is slowing them down or pre-venting them
from moving forward. I practice a very supportive healing style
that I customize for each client depending on their needs and
the depth of treatment that they are ready for.
When
I’m not working, I enjoy taking care of myself through exercise
and a vegan diet. I love dancing, practicing the art form of Poi,
the act of befriending and cultivating relationships, learning
about sustainability and other healing modalities and also sewing.
Other interests I have are, a fascination about sunrises/sunsets
and moonrises/sets and although I have yet to see one, eclipses
intrigue me too!
I
look forward to working with you!
